Boots i recieved were alot darker than depiction and looked synthetic although they are leather.Really nice fit with spongey sole but not pleased enough to keep.

i reckon the other person who reviewed these boots was extremely discriminatory in their 2 stars given. i just received mine and NO they are not darker than the depiction and even if they were, there are many potentially excellent reasons for that. And their note about them looking like synthetic is ALL WRONG! i do NOT even own any synthetic shoes, only leather, and leather has MANY, many different looks and feels; dependent upon what animal it came from, how ancient the animal was, how the leather was processed, etc. These boots are absolutely gorgeous, so much so that my 17 year ancient daughter has already confiscated them and i have to re-order another pair for myself! Also, we have each worn them once and both times, got immeasurable greetings from both genders and all ages! So, take the other person’s review with a proverbial pound of salt, if you take it at all! The only non-positive thing i have to say about them is that they run slightly small; usually wear a 7 1/2 and ordered an 8, and they fit like a 7 1/4 (if that existed); yet i am not removing any stars for this. I find more and more that every brand of every clothing item out there (from bras to boots) seems to vary honestly wildly with what is supposed to be even sizing… alas, what to do?
